Now that's cold!
March 09, 2005
Day two in Gotham is here and the plan is the same as yesterday, lots of work with an occasional escape into the city. The weather has cleared up, but boy is it cold now. The wind just cuts right through you when you walk.
To start out I dropped Meegy off at Grand Central Station again and then headed down 3rd Ave. Lots more local spots in that area, which at this point was refreshing since all I've seen so far is tourist type places and land marks.
For lunch I ran out again this time heading south down Broadway. During the trek I saw the Empire and Chrysler Buildings and encountered street vendors for the first time. Man you can buy anything here for cheap or overly expensive, whichever suites your fancy.
Towards the end of the day recent Atlanta transplant Adam and I bar hopped a couple of places around the hotel and then Meegy made it back into town so we heading into the East Village for dinner.
After dinner we accidently wondered into CBGB which was pretty cool. Overal the place is a dump as I had guessed, they did have a pretty cool photo gallery next door. Lots of old Talking Heads, Iggy Pop, etc pictures.
I think that's about it for now, feet are starting to smart a little so it's time to relax.
